My art is how I quietly yell and scream. It’s how I process the world when it’s just too much to hold inside. Painting is something I’m compelled to do. It’s my way of talking about belonging, and how I call out what matters most: inequality, the fragility of our environment, and the way we connect to places and moments in time. At the heart of it all is empathy.

Life is intense. It can feel like I am experiencing every detail, every feeling, all at once. It can be overwhelming, but it’s also what fuels my practice. Working with oil paint, big brushes, and charcoal gives me a way to filter the noise, to let imperfection in, and to challenge my inner perfectionist. Texture is key in my work.

I find inspiration and influence everywhere—from the masters of art history to the artists around me in the studio. But ultimately, each piece is mine. With every painting I push further: refining my craft and deepening my connection to the stories I need to tell.

As an autodidactic artist my work is influenced by my past and my studies of others. With a professional experience in agriculture, science and health and safety management plus a lifetime of creative pursuits.

My paintings have featured in many shows and can be found in private collections in Australia and internationally. Born in Tasmania I currently live in Brisbane, Queensland.
